Cry My Beloved Country

Cry my beloved country, the price of peace so high?
It starts with words, results in tears?
When is freedom coming?
From ourselfs, from our leaders, to us?
Who defends us, them, from ourselfs and from them?
Where do we go, whom do we run to?
When our desires are poisoned, and what we love turns to harm?
Our way the end, their way the pain?
Run to forest run, there is peace among the trees?
Which way goes our nation?
To the drain, to the end?
Why is being reasonable, too heavy a tool to use?
